Today's instrumental track is brought to you by Joe Satriani. This is the title track off of his 1987 album Surfing with the Alien. The song refers to the Marvel Comics character Silver Surfer who is depicted on the album cover. The original artist, John Byrne, has stated that they image was used without permission and he has not received any payment for its use even though the liner notes indicate that it was used with permission.
Exploring Heavy Metal and all its glory. Heavy Metal is often misunderstood and thought to be just a bunch of guys banging and screaming when in fact it can be extremely thoughtful, intelligent, and sincere. Expect some throw-down-head-banging, chill mood metal, and gloomy death metal that you're probably not going to hear on the radio. On the weekends we'll mix things up with a Weekend Wildcard and an Easy Like Sunday Morning Track to get you over your hangover!
