Today's Easy Like Sunday Morning Track is brought to you by the Voice, Vern Gosdin. This is the title track off of his 1988 album Chiseled in Stone.
I know it is pretty obvious from the lyrics but this is about a man who gets in fight with his wife and runs off to the bar to sulk. An old man sits beside him and and tells him that he should be thankful that he has someone to go home to. He goes on to tell him numerous stories that include the passing of his wife which is obvious in the powerful line "You don't know about lonely until it's chiseled in stone."
This song is a great reminder to enjoy the time you have with the ones you love and even in the tough times you should "thank your lucky stars" that they are still in your life.
Exploring Heavy Metal and all its glory. Heavy Metal is often misunderstood and thought to be just a bunch of guys banging and screaming when in fact it can be extremely thoughtful, intelligent, and sincere. Expect some throw-down-head-banging, chill mood metal, and gloomy death metal that you're probably not going to hear on the radio. On the weekends we'll mix things up with a Weekend Wildcard and an Easy Like Sunday Morning Track to get you over your hangover!
