Today's Metal Track is brought to you by Mastodon. This is off of their 2004 concept album Leviathan. The album is loosely based on the Herman Melville novel Moby-Dick. Leviathan is a sea monster reference numerous time in the Tanakh, or the Old Testament.
I've always loved this song and the imagery used in the video. It starts out a little slow but don't worry, it comes around full force. The last minute or so is fantastic. This particular YouTube video includes a short intro by Troy and Brent on Headbangers Ball with Brent acting goofy and probably under the influence.

Exploring Heavy Metal and all its glory. Heavy Metal is often misunderstood and thought to be just a bunch of guys banging and screaming when in fact it can be extremely thoughtful, intelligent, and sincere. Expect some throw-down-head-banging, chill mood metal, and gloomy death metal that you're probably not going to hear on the radio. On the weekends we'll mix things up with a Weekend Wildcard and an Easy Like Sunday Morning Track to get you over your hangover!
