Today's Instrumental Metal Track is a doozy by Australian post-rock band We Lost the Sea clocking in at a remarkable 23 minutes and 46 seconds. This beautiful track is off of their 2015 album Departure Songs. It's about the Challenger disaster which happened 32 years ago yesterday. I just found out about these guys today so I'm looking forward to hearing more.
If you get impatient you can skip the first 10 minutes which is a monologue from William S Burroughs on dreams. The closing speech is NASA transmissions about the explosion.
Exploring Heavy Metal and all its glory. Heavy Metal is often misunderstood and thought to be just a bunch of guys banging and screaming when in fact it can be extremely thoughtful, intelligent, and sincere. Expect some throw-down-head-banging, chill mood metal, and gloomy death metal that you're probably not going to hear on the radio. On the weekends we'll mix things up with a Weekend Wildcard and an Easy Like Sunday Morning Track to get you over your hangover!
