Today's Easy Like Sunday Morning Track is brought to you by Nirvana. This is a David Bowie cover that they performed as part of their MTV Unplugged show in 1993. Bowie's original was the title track on his third album, The Man Who Sold The World, which was released in 1970. Bowie called Nirvana's cover "heartfelt," noting that "until this [cover], it hadn't occurred to me that I was part of America's musical
landscape.
Note: You can see Pat Smear assisting with guitar in this video. He would later join Dave Grohl in Foo Fighters after the death of Kurt Cobain the following year.
Exploring Heavy Metal and all its glory. Heavy Metal is often misunderstood and thought to be just a bunch of guys banging and screaming when in fact it can be extremely thoughtful, intelligent, and sincere. Expect some throw-down-head-banging, chill mood metal, and gloomy death metal that you're probably not going to hear on the radio. On the weekends we'll mix things up with a Weekend Wildcard and an Easy Like Sunday Morning Track to get you over your hangover!
