Today's Metal Track is brought to you by Rainbow. This band started as a side project by Ritchie Blackmore of Deep Purple. He recorded some songs with Dio's band Elf and they liked it so much that they recorded a full album and he eventually left Deep Purple.
This song is off of their second album Rising released in 1976 and features the Munich Philharmonic Orchestra. By this time, Blackmore had already fired all of the Elf members with the exception of Dio.
Exploring Heavy Metal and all its glory. Heavy Metal is often misunderstood and thought to be just a bunch of guys banging and screaming when in fact it can be extremely thoughtful, intelligent, and sincere. Expect some throw-down-head-banging, chill mood metal, and gloomy death metal that you're probably not going to hear on the radio. On the weekends we'll mix things up with a Weekend Wildcard and an Easy Like Sunday Morning Track to get you over your hangover!
