Today's Metal Track is Swerve City by Deftones. This is the opening track off of their 2012 album Koi No Yokan.
For this album, the band used the Fractal Audio Systems Axe-FX Preamp FX Processor which creates the sound of multiple outboard amps and pedals and allowed for different tones. This was the first album that guitarist Stephen Carpenter used a different amp than he had used on all previous albums.
Exploring Heavy Metal and all its glory. Heavy Metal is often misunderstood and thought to be just a bunch of guys banging and screaming when in fact it can be extremely thoughtful, intelligent, and sincere. Expect some throw-down-head-banging, chill mood metal, and gloomy death metal that you're probably not going to hear on the radio. On the weekends we'll mix things up with a Weekend Wildcard and an Easy Like Sunday Morning Track to get you over your hangover!
