Today's Metal Track is a love song by Black Sabbath?! Wait what? That is correct. Sabbra Cadabra is a love song off of their 1973 album Sabbath Bloody Sabbath.
Keyboardist Rick Wakeman from Yes was brought in as a session player for this song. He refused payment from the band and was compensated with beer instead. Led Zeppelin members showed up during the recording of the album and John Bonham wanted to play on this track as well but Sabbath wanted to play other material for the occasion.
Metallica covered this song as part of a melody with A National Acrobat (Also Sabbath) on their 1998 cover album Garage Inc.
Exploring Heavy Metal and all its glory. Heavy Metal is often misunderstood and thought to be just a bunch of guys banging and screaming when in fact it can be extremely thoughtful, intelligent, and sincere. Expect some throw-down-head-banging, chill mood metal, and gloomy death metal that you're probably not going to hear on the radio. On the weekends we'll mix things up with a Weekend Wildcard and an Easy Like Sunday Morning Track to get you over your hangover!
