Hey, Hey, Hey, Hey, today's Easy Like Sunday Morning Track is Don't You (Forget About Me) by Simple Minds. This was released on The Breakfast Club soundtrack in 1985. It was featured in the opening and closing credit of the film. Since then it has been used in numerous films and TV shows including American Pie, Futurama, Family Guy, Pitch Perfect, and Bob's Burgers.
The band initially turn down the song but reluctantly accepted after encouragement from their label. They didn't like the idea of recording music they didn't record. The band did rearrange it before recording it so they deserve some credit for that. Prior to the song being offered Simple Minds, the song was turned down by The Fixx, Bryan Ferry, and Billy Idol.
Exploring Heavy Metal and all its glory. Heavy Metal is often misunderstood and thought to be just a bunch of guys banging and screaming when in fact it can be extremely thoughtful, intelligent, and sincere. Expect some throw-down-head-banging, chill mood metal, and gloomy death metal that you're probably not going to hear on the radio. On the weekends we'll mix things up with a Weekend Wildcard and an Easy Like Sunday Morning Track to get you over your hangover!
