Realized today that I haven't posted Mars Volta in awhile. Today's Metal Track is Cassandra Gemini off of their 2005 album Frances the Mute. When the CD was released this 32 minute track was split into track 5 thru 12 because otherwise the band would have only been paid for an EP instead of a full album. STupid record companies. The splits in the song were random and didn't match the song's five movements. If you buy it online today it comes as one track like was intended.
Strap in for a 32 minute jam!
Exploring Heavy Metal and all its glory. Heavy Metal is often misunderstood and thought to be just a bunch of guys banging and screaming when in fact it can be extremely thoughtful, intelligent, and sincere. Expect some throw-down-head-banging, chill mood metal, and gloomy death metal that you're probably not going to hear on the radio. On the weekends we'll mix things up with a Weekend Wildcard and an Easy Like Sunday Morning Track to get you over your hangover!
