I can't believe I haven't posted any Skynyrd yet. I thought for sure I had already. Well, today's Easy Like Sunday Morning Track is Tuesday's Gone off of their 1973 debut album (Pronounced 'Lĕh-'nérd 'Skin-'nérd). This song is about the band's realization that their lives will never be the same after signing their first record deal MCA/Sounds of the South.
Metallica covered this track on their 1998 Garage Inc. album with numerous guests including Gary Rossington (Skynyrd founding member), John Popper, Pepper Keenan, Jerry Cantrell, and Les Claypool.
Exploring Heavy Metal and all its glory. Heavy Metal is often misunderstood and thought to be just a bunch of guys banging and screaming when in fact it can be extremely thoughtful, intelligent, and sincere. Expect some throw-down-head-banging, chill mood metal, and gloomy death metal that you're probably not going to hear on the radio. On the weekends we'll mix things up with a Weekend Wildcard and an Easy Like Sunday Morning Track to get you over your hangover!
