Today's Metal Track is brought to you by the French metal band Gojira. This is off of their 2008 album The Way of All Flesh. This is a fan made video but it is pretty cook.
The song starts with some tribal like drumming that continues to build until the guitars come in and kick you in the face. The riff starting around 6 minutes in is fantastic and lucky for us they play it for about 3 minutes. The part played at the very end is actually a recording played backwards. If you were to reverse that portion it would resemble the next track on the album.
I won't bring no material in the after life
Take no possessions, I would rather travel light
I'm of this kind that kills all day
But I don't know yet how to die
Exploring Heavy Metal and all its glory. Heavy Metal is often misunderstood and thought to be just a bunch of guys banging and screaming when in fact it can be extremely thoughtful, intelligent, and sincere. Expect some throw-down-head-banging, chill mood metal, and gloomy death metal that you're probably not going to hear on the radio. On the weekends we'll mix things up with a Weekend Wildcard and an Easy Like Sunday Morning Track to get you over your hangover!
