Today's Metal Track is Pull Me Under and is brought to you by Dream Theater. This is off of their 1992 album Images and Words. This is the album versions which is almost twice as long as the single version that was released for radio and the music video.
This song refers to Shakespeare's Hamlet and is told from the perspective of Prince Hamlet. It is about Hamlet's desire to gain revenge for his father at the cost of his own sanity. At the end of the song is a direct quote from the play, "Oh that this too, too solid flesh would melt."
Exploring Heavy Metal and all its glory. Heavy Metal is often misunderstood and thought to be just a bunch of guys banging and screaming when in fact it can be extremely thoughtful, intelligent, and sincere. Expect some throw-down-head-banging, chill mood metal, and gloomy death metal that you're probably not going to hear on the radio. On the weekends we'll mix things up with a Weekend Wildcard and an Easy Like Sunday Morning Track to get you over your hangover!
