This Weekend's Wildcard is Roulette Dares (The Haunt of) by The Mars Volta. This is off of their 2003 debut album De-Loused in the Comatorium. This song is very hectic at times but don't let that scare you off. This was the song that first made me a fan of the band.
The concept album is an hour-long tale of Cerpin Taxt, a man who enters a week-long coma after overdosing on a mixture of morphine and rat poison. The story of Cerpin Taxt alludes to the death of El Paso, Texas artist — and Bixler-Zavala's friend — Julio Venegas.
"Exoskeletal junction at the railroad delayed"
Exploring Heavy Metal and all its glory. Heavy Metal is often misunderstood and thought to be just a bunch of guys banging and screaming when in fact it can be extremely thoughtful, intelligent, and sincere. Expect some throw-down-head-banging, chill mood metal, and gloomy death metal that you're probably not going to hear on the radio. On the weekends we'll mix things up with a Weekend Wildcard and an Easy Like Sunday Morning Track to get you over your hangover!
