Today's Metal Track is Terminus (Where Death is Most Alive) by Dark Tranquility. This is off of the Swedish band's 2007 album Fiction. The creators of The Walking Dead should have worked this song into the Terminus episodes. The lyrics fit:
This is a ghost town
Alive with the echoes of failures fled
Lit up by shining faces,
That parade these streets
What used to be
Of humility is gone
You walk the mounds
Of skull and bones
Where living is denied
I see more movement in decomposition
Than in those hollow eyes
Exploring Heavy Metal and all its glory. Heavy Metal is often misunderstood and thought to be just a bunch of guys banging and screaming when in fact it can be extremely thoughtful, intelligent, and sincere. Expect some throw-down-head-banging, chill mood metal, and gloomy death metal that you're probably not going to hear on the radio. On the weekends we'll mix things up with a Weekend Wildcard and an Easy Like Sunday Morning Track to get you over your hangover!
