This Weekend's Wildcard is Sledgehammer by Peter Gabriel. This is off of his 1986 album So. This is a great song but the music video is even better. It won 9 MTV Video Music Awards in 1987 and as of 2011 it was the most played music video in MTV's history.
Before beginning his solo career, Peter Gabriel was a founding member in the progressive rock band Genesis. He eventually left in 1975 after tension among the band members due to the added attention gained for Peter and his flamboyant stage persona.
