Today's Metal Track is Jesus Built My Hotrod by Ministry. This song was released in 1991 and was later included on their 1991 album ΚΕΦΑΛΗΞΘ which is commonly referred to as simply Psalm 69.
Funny story about this song. Gibby, the lead singer of Butthole Suffers, wanted to be on the album so he came into the studio to record. They played the song for him and set him up with a microphone. He was so drunk that all he came up with was the a bunch of gibberish. Al took the recordings and through some magical editing skills pulled out this song.
Exploring Heavy Metal and all its glory. Heavy Metal is often misunderstood and thought to be just a bunch of guys banging and screaming when in fact it can be extremely thoughtful, intelligent, and sincere. Expect some throw-down-head-banging, chill mood metal, and gloomy death metal that you're probably not going to hear on the radio. On the weekends we'll mix things up with a Weekend Wildcard and an Easy Like Sunday Morning Track to get you over your hangover!
