This Weekend's Wildcard is Mad World by Tears for Fears. This was originally released in 1982 and was also on the British band's 1983 debut album The Hurting. It was the band's first international hit.
This track saw a resurgence in 2001 when it was covered by Michael Andrews and Gary Jules for the cult classic film Donnie Darko.
I was inspired to post this after reading Dan Briggs' (Between the Buried and Me) Top 10 List of concept albums.
Here is the cover version
Exploring Heavy Metal and all its glory. Heavy Metal is often misunderstood and thought to be just a bunch of guys banging and screaming when in fact it can be extremely thoughtful, intelligent, and sincere. Expect some throw-down-head-banging, chill mood metal, and gloomy death metal that you're probably not going to hear on the radio. On the weekends we'll mix things up with a Weekend Wildcard and an Easy Like Sunday Morning Track to get you over your hangover!
