Chevelle is one of those bands that toes the line between alternative metal and rock and I would definitely say they lean more towards the rock side. I've had them on the list to post but never really got the inkling to do it until now. I saw them in concert years ago at Ozzfest or something like that. I have not kept up with them through the years but I remember this being their huge breakthrough hit. If anyone has some suggestions from their newer stuff let me know.
Today's Metal Track is The Red off of their 2002 sophomore album Wonder What's Next. I like the palm muted portions and the screaming at the end. The song is about anger management, obviously, which is something I can relate to at times when these youngins of mine push my buttons or if I'm working with a tool or putting something together that doesn't operate like it is designed... RAWR. I better stop typing before I get mad thinking about it.
Exploring Heavy Metal and all its glory. Heavy Metal is often misunderstood and thought to be just a bunch of guys banging and screaming when in fact it can be extremely thoughtful, intelligent, and sincere. Expect some throw-down-head-banging, chill mood metal, and gloomy death metal that you're probably not going to hear on the radio. On the weekends we'll mix things up with a Weekend Wildcard and an Easy Like Sunday Morning Track to get you over your hangover!
