In honor of Mexico's Independence Day... I kid, I kid. In honor of the Mexican army's victory over the French in the Battle of Puebla in 1862 today's 'Pista de Metal' comes from the Mexican metal band Transmetal.
This is the opening and title track of their 1993 album El Infierno de Dante which is Spanish for Dante's Inferno; a reference to Vol. 1 of The Divine Comedy of Dante Alighieri which is, in case you didn't know, a description of what happens to the souls who are damned to hell.
Exploring Heavy Metal and all its glory. Heavy Metal is often misunderstood and thought to be just a bunch of guys banging and screaming when in fact it can be extremely thoughtful, intelligent, and sincere. Expect some throw-down-head-banging, chill mood metal, and gloomy death metal that you're probably not going to hear on the radio. On the weekends we'll mix things up with a Weekend Wildcard and an Easy Like Sunday Morning Track to get you over your hangover!
