Today's Metal Track is Jack's new favorite song, Battery, by Metallica. Jack asks for it in the car every time now as the "bloom bloom" song referencing the opening acoustic notes.
This is the opening track off of arguably the best Metal album of all time. Master of Puppets was released 30 years ago in 1986! What a beautiful introduction to the masterpiece of an album that follows. When the distortion kicks in it's like receiving a jolt from actual high voltage battery.
Smashing through the boundaries, Lunacy has found me
Cannot stop the Battery
Pounding out aggression, Turns into obsession
Cannot kill the
battery
Cannot kill the family, Battery is found in Me!
Exploring Heavy Metal and all its glory. Heavy Metal is often misunderstood and thought to be just a bunch of guys banging and screaming when in fact it can be extremely thoughtful, intelligent, and sincere. Expect some throw-down-head-banging, chill mood metal, and gloomy death metal that you're probably not going to hear on the radio. On the weekends we'll mix things up with a Weekend Wildcard and an Easy Like Sunday Morning Track to get you over your hangover!
