Well Before I Forget to post again, Wednesday's Metal Track is Before I Forget by Slipknot. This is off of their 2005 album Vol. 3 (The Subliminal Verses). This track won a Grammy in 2006 for Best Metal Performance. It was also listed as AOL's top metal song of the decade. Didn't know that was a thing but hey, neat.
Producer Rick Rubin tried to get Corey to change the chorus because it wasn't catchy enough but Corey wouldn't budge. It's funny because IMO it is one of their catchiest songs.
"Stapled shut, inside an outside world and I'm
Sealed in tight, bizarre but right at home
Claustrophobic, closing in and I'm
Catastrophic, not again"
Exploring Heavy Metal and all its glory. Heavy Metal is often misunderstood and thought to be just a bunch of guys banging and screaming when in fact it can be extremely thoughtful, intelligent, and sincere. Expect some throw-down-head-banging, chill mood metal, and gloomy death metal that you're probably not going to hear on the radio. On the weekends we'll mix things up with a Weekend Wildcard and an Easy Like Sunday Morning Track to get you over your hangover!
