This Weekend's Wildcard is brought to you by Otis Redding. I hate to admit it but up until a couple of years ago I had no idea that this was not a Black Crowes original song. It blew my mind. He also recorded other great songs such as Sitting on the Dock of the Bay and Respect (Yes, that Respect).
Sadly, Otis died in a plane crash at the age of 26. This song was not released until after his death. He recorded Sitting on the Dock of the Bay just days before the crash. There is no telling what he would have gone on to accomplish. RIP Otis.
Exploring Heavy Metal and all its glory. Heavy Metal is often misunderstood and thought to be just a bunch of guys banging and screaming when in fact it can be extremely thoughtful, intelligent, and sincere. Expect some throw-down-head-banging, chill mood metal, and gloomy death metal that you're probably not going to hear on the radio. On the weekends we'll mix things up with a Weekend Wildcard and an Easy Like Sunday Morning Track to get you over your hangover!
