This Weekend's Wildcard is brought to you by the The Doobie Brothers. This comes off of their 1973 album The Captain and Me and is one of their most famous songs. This song is mainly a fictional account portraying China Grove as a Texas version of Chinatown. Funny thing is, they mention the Samurai, who are Japanese not Chinese.
The first thing I think of now when I hear this song is Squidbillies. "Damn dem Doobies and they Chinese Grove!"
Exploring Heavy Metal and all its glory. Heavy Metal is often misunderstood and thought to be just a bunch of guys banging and screaming when in fact it can be extremely thoughtful, intelligent, and sincere. Expect some throw-down-head-banging, chill mood metal, and gloomy death metal that you're probably not going to hear on the radio. On the weekends we'll mix things up with a Weekend Wildcard and an Easy Like Sunday Morning Track to get you over your hangover!
