Today's Metal Track is Die, Die My Darling by the Misfits. This single was recorded in 1981 but was not released on any of their original studio releases. Glenn Danzig, the lead singer, released the single in 1984 on his own label 7 months after the band broke up in 1983.
The title of the song comes from the 1965 British horror film Fanatic which was released in the U.S. under the title Did, Die My Darling. The artwork on the back of the single was done by Pushead who is famous for his artwork for Metallica. Speaking of Metallica, they covered this song on their 1998 cover album Damage Inc.
Exploring Heavy Metal and all its glory. Heavy Metal is often misunderstood and thought to be just a bunch of guys banging and screaming when in fact it can be extremely thoughtful, intelligent, and sincere. Expect some throw-down-head-banging, chill mood metal, and gloomy death metal that you're probably not going to hear on the radio. On the weekends we'll mix things up with a Weekend Wildcard and an Easy Like Sunday Morning Track to get you over your hangover!
