This Weekend's Wildcard is I Need You Tonight by the Australian rock band INXS (Pronounced "In excess"). This is the first single off the band's 1987 album Kick. This song was INXS's biggest hit and was their only song to hit #1 on the US Charts.
This is a classic 80's music video that won 5 MTV Music Video Awards including Video of the Year in 1988. It was also listed at #21 on MTV's greatest music videos of all time.
Sadly, in 1997, singer Michael Hutchence died from what was ruled a suicide. Many fans believe that his death was an accident and his wife indicated in a 1999 interview with 60 minutes that he may have died from autoerotic asphyxiation but this was never confirmed.
