Today's Easy Like Sunday Morning Track is Zebra by Beach House. This is the opening track off of their 2010 album Teen Dream. Not to be confused with Katy Perry's Teenage Dream. The narrator of this song is expressing her feelings about the object of her affection. A close friend or a loved one that is unique and more advanced than the rest of the group ("Any way you run, you run before us
Black and white horse arching among us"). Basically saying we are all horses while you are a zebra. Unique and not domesticated.
The narrator believes that the protagonist is trying to disguise himself as a horse to fit in with everyone else but she knows his really a zebra (Don't I know you better than the rest
All deception, all deception from you). At least that's is the best interpretation that I have come across. What do you think?
Exploring Heavy Metal and all its glory. Heavy Metal is often misunderstood and thought to be just a bunch of guys banging and screaming when in fact it can be extremely thoughtful, intelligent, and sincere. Expect some throw-down-head-banging, chill mood metal, and gloomy death metal that you're probably not going to hear on the radio. On the weekends we'll mix things up with a Weekend Wildcard and an Easy Like Sunday Morning Track to get you over your hangover!
