Scott's Metal Track of the Day - Low Lands by Gojira

I can't say enough about today's Metal Track. You have to watch the video to get the full experience. It is simply stunning and gives me goosebumps. This is a very emotional song for the band and it is portrayed wonderfully through the video.

During the writing process for this album, the mother of the two founding brothers, Joseph and Mario, got sick and died. The video was directed by their cousin with help from their sister Gabrielle. I love the overlaid footage of Joe singing and with Mario playing drums.

The footage in the video surrounds their childhood home in France which they call 'Gayeres'. It was also the place where they first played and recorded music including most of their albums.
