Today's Rap Metal Track is I'm the Man by Anthrax. This is off of their 1987 EP by the same name. This is just the guys having fun. The main riff is a parody of the Jewish folk song Hava Nagila. It is also chocked full of samples from Public Enemy, Metallica, Beastie Boys and a primal scream from comedian Sam Kinison.
The chorus and title is take from a line in the movie Easy Money. During this scene, Julio is outside his fiance's window trying get her to take him back. He is being fed lines from his friend who is hiding under a bush. "I'm the man, I'm the man, I'm so bad I deserve detention, I'm the man"
Exploring Heavy Metal and all its glory. Heavy Metal is often misunderstood and thought to be just a bunch of guys banging and screaming when in fact it can be extremely thoughtful, intelligent, and sincere. Expect some throw-down-head-banging, chill mood metal, and gloomy death metal that you're probably not going to hear on the radio. On the weekends we'll mix things up with a Weekend Wildcard and an Easy Like Sunday Morning Track to get you over your hangover!
