Today's Metal Track is Lola Montez by Volbeat. This is off of the Danish metal band's 2013 album Outlaw Gentlemen and Shady Ladies. This song is about Marie Dolores Eliza Rosanna Gilbert, Countess of Landsfeld. She was an Irish dancer who was better know by her stage name Lola Montez. She was the mistress of King Ludwig I of Bavaria and used her influence for liberal reform in the 1800s.
Wherever she walks
She'll be captivating all the men
Don't look in her eyes
You might fall and find the love of your life heavenly
But she'll catch you in her web
The love of your life, yeah.
Exploring Heavy Metal and all its glory. Heavy Metal is often misunderstood and thought to be just a bunch of guys banging and screaming when in fact it can be extremely thoughtful, intelligent, and sincere. Expect some throw-down-head-banging, chill mood metal, and gloomy death metal that you're probably not going to hear on the radio. On the weekends we'll mix things up with a Weekend Wildcard and an Easy Like Sunday Morning Track to get you over your hangover!
