Today's Metal Track is Gift of Pain by Metal Allegiance. This is like a Super Supergroup. The core group consists of Mike Portnoy (Dream Theater), David Ellefson (Megadeth), Alex Skolnick (Testament), and founder Mike Menghi.
These guys invited a ton of metal artist to guest star in varying capacities on their album. A total of 25 artists are in included on their self-titled album released last month. This is the opening track off of that album featuring Randy Blythe (Lamb of God) on vocals and a guest solo by Gary Holt (Exodus).
Exploring Heavy Metal and all its glory. Heavy Metal is often misunderstood and thought to be just a bunch of guys banging and screaming when in fact it can be extremely thoughtful, intelligent, and sincere. Expect some throw-down-head-banging, chill mood metal, and gloomy death metal that you're probably not going to hear on the radio. On the weekends we'll mix things up with a Weekend Wildcard and an Easy Like Sunday Morning Track to get you over your hangover!
