Today's Metal Track is Fight Fire with Fire by Metallica. This is the opening track off of their 1984 album Ride The Lightning. I remember the first time I ever heard this song. I was with my Dad and my stepbrother and we had been to the store to buy the cassette.
On the way home, Dad let us play the tape and the intro to this song came on. We had been hyping it up saying it would "throw down" and when this started, Dad laughed at us and said something to the effect of "this isn't rocking at all". Then it kicked in, and we we've headbanging to it ever since.
Exploring Heavy Metal and all its glory. Heavy Metal is often misunderstood and thought to be just a bunch of guys banging and screaming when in fact it can be extremely thoughtful, intelligent, and sincere. Expect some throw-down-head-banging, chill mood metal, and gloomy death metal that you're probably not going to hear on the radio. On the weekends we'll mix things up with a Weekend Wildcard and an Easy Like Sunday Morning Track to get you over your hangover!
