Today's Metal Track is Skin o' My Teeth by Megadeth. This is the opening track off of their 1992 album Countdown to Extension. The phrase "skin of my teeth" comes from the Bible in Job 19:20. "My bone cleaveth to my skin and to my flesh, and I am escaped with the skin of my teeth."
Oh how I wish Marty had stayed with Megadeth. Another great solo on this track.
My favorite part of the song is at the end of the following verse where you can hear a drawer being slammed.
I won't feel the hurt
I'm not trash any longer
That that doesn't kill me
Only makes me stronger
I need a ride to the morgue
That's what 911 is for
So, tag my toe and don't forget
Ooh to close the drawer
Exploring Heavy Metal and all its glory. Heavy Metal is often misunderstood and thought to be just a bunch of guys banging and screaming when in fact it can be extremely thoughtful, intelligent, and sincere. Expect some throw-down-head-banging, chill mood metal, and gloomy death metal that you're probably not going to hear on the radio. On the weekends we'll mix things up with a Weekend Wildcard and an Easy Like Sunday Morning Track to get you over your hangover!
