This Weekend's Wildcard is Free Fallin' by Tom Petty. This is the opening track off of his 1989 debut solo album Full Moon Fever. This was the first Tom Petty song I remember seeing on MTV as a kid. It's a nostalgic song about a childhood sweetheart. A sweetheart he left behind in Florida when he moved to the West Coast to chase his dreams of being a musician.
