Today's Metal Track is brought to you by Korn off of their 1999 album Issues. I don't listen to these guys much anymore but when I was 15 they were like the greatest thing in the world. This song is about domestic abuse and encouraging victims to try and find ways to get out of it such as telling someone or reaching out for help.
I chose this song because it brings back a fun memory of mine. This was the first single released off of the album and its world premier video was played on MTV in November of 1999 which happens to be the month I starting officially "Going Out" with Jessica. I was actually on the phone with her when the video came on and went nuts with excitement; screaming and jumping around. I'm sure it freaked her out a little bit but that was an early sign that she was a keeper. She put up with my craziness then and she still puts up with it today.
Exploring Heavy Metal and all its glory. Heavy Metal is often misunderstood and thought to be just a bunch of guys banging and screaming when in fact it can be extremely thoughtful, intelligent, and sincere. Expect some throw-down-head-banging, chill mood metal, and gloomy death metal that you're probably not going to hear on the radio. On the weekends we'll mix things up with a Weekend Wildcard and an Easy Like Sunday Morning Track to get you over your hangover!
