Today's Metal Track is brought to you by Tool. This is the "title track" off of the band's 1996 album Ænima. It's not technically the title track since the spelling differs by one letter but it's close enough.
This song is basically an attack on celebrity culture in L.A. This includes the Church of Scientology, rappers, Hollywood executives and actresses. The song suggests that the state of California should break off from the U.S. and be flushed down the toilet. This idea is based on the comedian Bill Hick's sketch "Arizona Bay."
Exploring Heavy Metal and all its glory. Heavy Metal is often misunderstood and thought to be just a bunch of guys banging and screaming when in fact it can be extremely thoughtful, intelligent, and sincere. Expect some throw-down-head-banging, chill mood metal, and gloomy death metal that you're probably not going to hear on the radio. On the weekends we'll mix things up with a Weekend Wildcard and an Easy Like Sunday Morning Track to get you over your hangover!
