Today's Metal Track is brought to you by the Canadian progress metal band Protest the Hero. If you like heavy metal but dislike harsh vocals, check these guys out. This one comes off of their 2011 album Scurrilous.
The album cover is a 60 year old painting by the bassist's grandfather titled "Scurrilous" which means vulgar, verbal abuse. As you can see these guys like to have fun when doing music videos and don't take it too seriously.
Exploring Heavy Metal and all its glory. Heavy Metal is often misunderstood and thought to be just a bunch of guys banging and screaming when in fact it can be extremely thoughtful, intelligent, and sincere. Expect some throw-down-head-banging, chill mood metal, and gloomy death metal that you're probably not going to hear on the radio. On the weekends we'll mix things up with a Weekend Wildcard and an Easy Like Sunday Morning Track to get you over your hangover!
