Today's Metal Track is The Great Southern Trendkill by Pantera. This is opening and title track off of their 1996 album The Great Southern Trendkill. This song expresses a disgust for trends and the people that are easily manipulated by them.
"It's digging time again, you're nurturing the weakest trend
Those with the heart and the brain to get past this
Can spot a pathetic without even asking "
"Buy it at a store, from MTV to on the floor
You look just like a star, it's proof you don't know who you are"
Exploring Heavy Metal and all its glory. Heavy Metal is often misunderstood and thought to be just a bunch of guys banging and screaming when in fact it can be extremely thoughtful, intelligent, and sincere. Expect some throw-down-head-banging, chill mood metal, and gloomy death metal that you're probably not going to hear on the radio. On the weekends we'll mix things up with a Weekend Wildcard and an Easy Like Sunday Morning Track to get you over your hangover!
