Today's Metal Track is The Zoo by Scorpions. This classic metal track is off the German band's 1980 album Animal Magnetism. I just love the main riff in the song.
When the lead singer heard the riff for the first time, it reminded him of the time the band visited a street in New York City that was referred to as a "zoo". He went on to write the lyrics which refer to to various streets in New York, mainly 42nd Street.
Exploring Heavy Metal and all its glory. Heavy Metal is often misunderstood and thought to be just a bunch of guys banging and screaming when in fact it can be extremely thoughtful, intelligent, and sincere. Expect some throw-down-head-banging, chill mood metal, and gloomy death metal that you're probably not going to hear on the radio. On the weekends we'll mix things up with a Weekend Wildcard and an Easy Like Sunday Morning Track to get you over your hangover!
