This Weekend's Wildcard is Paid in Full by the hip hop duo Eric B. & Rakim. This is the title track off of their 1987 debut album Paid in Full which is considered to be a benchmark album for the golden age of hip hop.
Rakim pioneered the use of internal rhyming which set a higher standard of lyricism in hip hop and rap. An internal rhyme is a rhyme that occurs in the middle of a line versus the usual rhyming at the end of the line (end rhyme). The song uses samples from the English dance music duo Coldcut.
Exploring Heavy Metal and all its glory. Heavy Metal is often misunderstood and thought to be just a bunch of guys banging and screaming when in fact it can be extremely thoughtful, intelligent, and sincere. Expect some throw-down-head-banging, chill mood metal, and gloomy death metal that you're probably not going to hear on the radio. On the weekends we'll mix things up with a Weekend Wildcard and an Easy Like Sunday Morning Track to get you over your hangover!
