Today's Metal Track is L'Enfant Sauvage by the French metal band Gojira. This is the title track off of their most recent album, L'Enfant Sauvage, which was released in 2012. L'Enfant Sauvage is French for "The Wild Child".
This song and album are based on a film by the same name that tells the true story of Victor of Aveyron, a child who was found alone in the woods with behaviors closer to a wild animal than a civilized human.
As you can see in this video, the woman is converting from an adapted member of society into a "Wild Child". My favorite part is around the 3:03 mark when she awakens with the wolf.
Exploring Heavy Metal and all its glory. Heavy Metal is often misunderstood and thought to be just a bunch of guys banging and screaming when in fact it can be extremely thoughtful, intelligent, and sincere. Expect some throw-down-head-banging, chill mood metal, and gloomy death metal that you're probably not going to hear on the radio. On the weekends we'll mix things up with a Weekend Wildcard and an Easy Like Sunday Morning Track to get you over your hangover!
