Showing a little love to all the bass players today.
Today's Instrumental Metal Track is Kufra at Dusk by the Super Group Conquering Dystopia. This is a play through by bassist Alex Webster who's day job is being the bassist in Cannibal Corpse.
Exploring Heavy Metal and all its glory. Heavy Metal is often misunderstood and thought to be just a bunch of guys banging and screaming when in fact it can be extremely thoughtful, intelligent, and sincere. Expect some throw-down-head-banging, chill mood metal, and gloomy death metal that you're probably not going to hear on the radio. On the weekends we'll mix things up with a Weekend Wildcard and an Easy Like Sunday Morning Track to get you over your hangover!

Scott's Metal Track of the Day - Left Hand Path by Entombed
I recently read a Rolling Stone Article about Mikael Akerfeldt's top 10 metal albums and he named Entombed's 1990 album Left Hand Path. I checked out the title track and it is killer. It's a little rough around the edges to start with but it turns out to be a really awesome track. I looking forward to checking out the rest of the albums on his list.

RIP Chester Bennington - Scott's Metal Track of the Day Crawling by Linkin Park
I was sadden to hear of Chester's death today. Unfortunately another suicide by a successful artist. As I've said before when this happened and I'll say it again, if you or someone you know is suffering from depression, please get help.
I haven't listened to Linkin Park in quite awhile but I was really in to them when their first two albums came out. Today's Metal Track is Crawling off of their 2000 debut album Hybrid Theory. It was the first song I ever heard.
RIP :(

Scott's Metal Track of the Day - Less Than by Nine Inch Nails
Today's Metal Track is brand new Nine Inch Nails. This is Less Than off of their upcoming EP Add Violence which comes out next week. The video pays homage to an old urban legend about a game titled Polybius.
From Wikipedia: The urban legend is that the game was part of a government-run crowdsourced psychology experiment, with gameplay producing intense psychoactive and addictive effects in the player. These few publicly staged arcade machines were said to have been visited periodically by men in black for the purpose of data-mining the machines and analyzing these effects. Finally, all of these Polybius arcade machines allegedly disappeared from the arcade market.

Scott's Metal Track of the Day - Era by Opeth
There's a sign in the rain
Every now and again
It is a symbol of hope
In the midst of a catastrophic episode
In the hour of death
There's a spiritual wealth
When we dance through the rain
And form the signs once again
If even for a second
Today's Metal Track is Era by Opeth. This is off of their 2016 album Sorceress. Andrew keeps making me play this video over and over again. I had to stop him so I could finally post.
