Weekend Wildcard - Welcome to the Black Parade by My Chemical Romance

This Weekend's Wildcard is Welcome to the Black Parade by My Chemical Romance. This song and album revolve around The Patient and his passage out of life in the form of a black parade. In 2017, this video was recognized as MTV's greatest video of the Century. This rock opera was released in 2006 as the lead single and title track of their album The Black Parade.

Do or die
You'll never make me
Because the world
Will never take my heart
You can try
You'll never break me
We wanna all
We want to play this part
Won't explain
Or say I'm sorry
I'm unashamed
I'm gonna show my scar
Give a cheer
For all the broken
Listen here
Because it's who we are
I'm just a man
I'm not a hero
Just a boy who had to sing this song
I'm just a man
I'm not a hero
I don't care
We'll carry on!

Scott's Metal Track of the Day - Glint by Deafheaven

Today's Metal Track is another outstanding track from Deafheaven's latest album Ordinary Corrupt Human Love. I've listen to this album a thousand times since it came out. The album title comes from the 1951 novel the The End of the Affair by Graham Greene. The solo on this track (9:24),  strikes me to the core every time I hear it and it gives me the chills.

Scott's Metal Track of the Day - The Right To Go Insane by Megadeth

For today's Metal Track we get to watch Dave Mustaine go over the edge, steal a tank, and wreak havoc on a neighborhood. The video is based on the 1995 San Diego Tank Rampage by Shawn Nelson. As shown in the video, Shawn suffered a series of unfortunate events including a motorcycle accident, the death of his parents, divorce, and losing his business and his home. Finally he went on the rampage seen in the video (actual footage is mixed in the video) that ultimately led to being shot by police.

This is The Right To Go Insane off of their 2009 album Endgame.

Scott's Metal Track of the Day - Disassociative by Marilyn Manson

I can never get out of here
I don't wanna just float in fear
Dead astronaut in space

Today's Metal Track is one of my favorite Marilyn Manson songs that is truly underrated. Disassociative is off of his 1998 album Mechanical Animals which I still consider his best work even though his recent efforts are just as good. That chorus just gets me in the feels every time. Just a beautiful track all the way through.

The nervous system's down,
the nervous system's
and I know
