Today's Metal Track is the opening track off of the debut album of arguably the greatest progressive metal bands of all time. And clocking in at over 14 minutes long, oh what opening track she is. 

In Mist She Was Standing There comes from Opeth's 1995 album Orchid. The video is incorrectly name "In THE Mist..." a mistake that was also made on the itunes and spotify versions.

Scott's Metal Track of the Day - Gimme the Keys LV by Clutch

Today's Metal Track is Gimme The Keys LV by Clutch. this is off of their 2018 album Book of Bad Decisions. 

Per Neil: "Gimme The Keys" was written about CLUTCH's first tour back in 1991, a time where the bandmembers began to cut their teeth in the live music business, dealt with show cancellations and incidents on the road. One particular show in a shed surrounded by cornfields in Lawrence, Kansas ultimately turned ugly over a missing microphone and accusations brought by drunk and gun-toting security people at the end of a long day. "Gimme the keys they can keep the guarantee / Gimme the keys and get the hell out of dodge" is a reflection of the mood of that night.

Last night I had YouTube going in the garage and I look up and see Norah Jones on and I'm trying to figure out how the YouTube algorithm got broken to end up in such a state. I finally figured out she was performing a cover of Soundgarden's Black Hole Sun and all was good. So today's Easy Like Sunday Morning Track is Norah Jones performing Black Hole Sun. Today's Metal Track is Children of the Sea from the Dio era of Black Sabbath. This is off of their 1980 album Heaven and Hell which saw the replacement of Ozzy with Dio after Ozzy was kicked out of the band the previous year. RIP Dio!
