You may be saying to yourself how does this relate to coming home to my wife. Well, the song is actually referring to one's wife as "Mama" and not their actual mama. This is off of his 1991 album No More Tears.

Happy Birthday Jess!

Scott's Instrumental Metal Track of the Day - Big Sur Moon by Buckethead

Today's Instrumental Metal Track is Big Sur Moon by Buckethead. As an added bonus, you get some nunchucking and robot dance moves that are somewhat awkward. I wonder if any fans where harmed in the tossing of the nunchucks.

In honor of the passing of the late Glen Campbell, this Weekend's Wildcard is Rhinestone Cowboy. I first heard this song on the movie High School High when the principal, played by John Lovitz, brought a record to the dance for the DJ to play and it was this song. The Dj proceeded to scratch the record to pieces on the turntable. Rhine... Rhine... Rhinestone Cowboy!

Scott's Metal Track of the Day - We Die Young by Alice in Chains

Scary's on the wall
Scary's on his way

Today's Metal Track is We Die Young by Alice in Chains. I've listened to this song a hundred times and never knew they did a video for it. I love it, and boy were they young. This is the opening track off of their 1990 debut album Facelift. The artwork on the back of the album is a picture of the band members up under the plastic sheet in the water as you see here in the video.

Unfortunately two of the band members did die young. Lane at 28 years old and Mike at 44. Another reminder that drugs are bad kids!

Scott's Metal Track of the Day The Sin and the Sentence by Trivium

New Trivium? With growls? Yes Please!

Okay so it's not a full return to old Trivium but I'll take it. To me, they just sound so much better with a mix of heavy vocals. I just hope Heafy doesn't blow his vocals out again. This is The Sin and The Sentence off of their upcoming album which is yet to be titled.
