Scott's Instrumental Metal Track of the Day - A Gallant Gentlemen by We Lost the Sea

Today's Instrumental Track is a beautiful song by the Australian band We Lost the Sea. This is A Gallant Gentlemen off of their 2015 album Departure Songs. It features the girls choir from Mercy College in Chatswood. This track is named after a painting by John Charles Dollman.

"The tracks tells the story of Lawrence Oates, an army captain and explorer who walked off into the freezing Antarctic night on a expedition gone wrong, in an attempt to give his life to save the rest of his team. He knew he had become a burden on his friends. He knew their chances of survival would improve without him. So off he walked, alone, into oblivion. Easy Like Sunday Morning Track - Wake Me Up by Avicii

I honor of the passing of Avicii on Friday, today's Easy Like Sunday Morning Track is Wake Me Up off of his 2013 album True. Vocals for this track are provided by soul singer Aloe Blacc. I'm not going to lie, when I heard about him passing, I didn't know him by name. but then I looked up his songs and recognized them instantly. This was probably his biggest hit. Only 28 years old, too young. RIP!

I've listened to this about 10 times today which is saying a lot since it clocks in just under 12 minutes.

Brand new Ghost for Friday the 13th! Today's Metal Track is Rats off of their upcoming album Prequelle. The band has been releasing videos teasing about the identity and appearance of the new Papa Emeritus (stage name of the lead singer). Instead of Papa Emeritus IV, it was revealed that the new lead singer would be Cardinal Copia. I think I have that right anyway. Bigger Ghost fans than me, please step in a correct me.
