Weekend Wildcard - The Sky is a Neighborhood by Foo Fighters

Oh my dear, Heaven is a big band now!

This Weekend's Wildcard is The Sky is a Neighborhood by the Foo Fighters off of their new album Concrete and Gold. Dave got the inspiration for this song from Neil DeGrasse Tyson's response to the question "What is the most astounding fact you can share with us about the universe?" He said that the atoms that make up our bodies and everything on earth are traceable back to the beginnings of the universe. See the video below.

Dave also directed this video and his two daughters, Violet and Harper, are the two girls in the video.

Scott's Metal Track of the Day - One Armed Scissor by At the Drive-In

Today's Metal Track is One Armed Scissor by At the Drive-In. This was their first hit off of their 2000 album Relationship on Command. According to the band, a one-armed scissor is a mixture of red bull and vodka, and that the song is about their tours told from the omniscient character named the one armed scissor who sees their hardships they deal with while on tour.

Today's outstanding Instrumental Metal Track is Three Lives by Octavision. If you like Dream Theater then you will definitely like this. In case you didn't know Petrucci is the guitarist from Dream Theater and the guy in this video looks like his ugly cousin that stayed locked in the basement.

Brand new Mastodon out today! Today's Metal Track is Toe to Toes off of their upcoming EP Cold Dark Place which comes out September 22. I'm still rocking out to their last album on a weekly basis.

This song and video are fantastic. The music is quality and very catchy and you can tell they had fun with it. I love the clips of them clapping in the video. I'm still trying to figure out if Brent has a 2 Live Crew shirt on. That would be the icing on the cake.
