I don't know about you but when I think of bowling I immediately think of Heavy Metal. I would definitely pick up bowling if this is what it was like.
Today's Metal Track is Necropolis by The Black Dahlia Murder. This is off of their 2009 album Deflorate.
Exploring Heavy Metal and all its glory. Heavy Metal is often misunderstood and thought to be just a bunch of guys banging and screaming when in fact it can be extremely thoughtful, intelligent, and sincere. Expect some throw-down-head-banging, chill mood metal, and gloomy death metal that you're probably not going to hear on the radio. On the weekends we'll mix things up with a Weekend Wildcard and an Easy Like Sunday Morning Track to get you over your hangover!

Scott's Instrumental Metal Track of the Day - Challenger: Part One - Flight by We Lost The Sea
Today's Instrumental Metal Track is a doozy by Australian post-rock band We Lost the Sea clocking in at a remarkable 23 minutes and 46 seconds. This beautiful track is off of their 2015 album Departure Songs. It's about the Challenger disaster which happened 32 years ago yesterday. I just found out about these guys today so I'm looking forward to hearing more.
If you get impatient you can skip the first 10 minutes which is a monologue from William S Burroughs on dreams. The closing speech is NASA transmissions about the explosion.

Scott's Metal Track of the Day - Neighbor by Ugly Kid Joe
Got some new neighbors moving in across the street today. I haven't met them yet but at least their cars look better than the one the new neighbors are driving in this video so that is a positive.
Today's Metal Track is Neighbor by Ugly Kid Joe. This is off of their 1992 album America's Least Wanted. And in case it wasn't obvious, the video features the androgynous character Pat from SNL. This video is edited a little bit but it was about the best I could find.

Scott's Metal Track of the Day - Epic by Faith No More
Today's Metal Track is an "Epic" track by Faith No More. Epic is off of their 1989 The Real Thing and unless you've been living under a rock, you've heard it before. I never realized until now that guitarist Jim Martin is wearing a Cliff Burton tribute shirt in the video.
Fun fact about this video: Allegedly the fish seen flopping around in the video was once owned by Icelandic singer Bjork. She received the fish at poetry recital and later passed it on to Faith No More Bassist, Randy Bottum. The band received some heat because of the fish appearing to be dying on camera.

You're the perfect one
For me and you forever we'll be
And I will love you so for always
And we both know, that our love will grow

Scott's Metal/Grunge Track of the Day - Greedy Fly by Bush
For the 90's rejoin today on the Adam and Joe show on 99.9 they played Little Things by Bush and it made me realize I hadn't played any Bush on the blog yet. You don't normally thing of Bush as metal but but this track is pretty jamming so I'll allow it.
I could be wrong but I think Isman gave me this album on cassette (which I still have) as a gift back in either 6th or 7th grade. This is Greedy Fly off of their 1996 album Razorblade Suitcase.
Unfortunately the audio quality in this video is not very good even though it's from the official Bush account. And don't ask me to explain the video lol.

Scott's Metal Track of the Day - Hell Awaits (Live) by Slayer
Today's Metal Track of the Day is Hell Awaits (Live) by Slayer. I choose this live version for two reasons. 1. My brother owned the 1991 Decade of Aggression double live album and it's probably the slayer album that I've listened to the most of any Slayer albums. 2. This is probably the most wicked sounding opener for a live show that I've heard and it just sounds better in the version.
Honestly, all you really need from this song is the opening four minutes. Slayer knows how to open songs (See Seasons in the Abyss). The rest of the song sounds like it's in Spanish lol.

Scott's Instrumental Metal Track of the Day - He would be riding on the subway or writing formulas on the blackboard or having a meal or (as now) sitting and talking to someone across a table, and it would envelop him like a soundless tsunami by Cloudkicker
Today's Instrumental Metal Track of the Day is "He would be riding on the subway or writing formulas on the blackboard or having a meal or (as now) sitting and talking to someone across a table, and it would envelop him like a soundless tsunami" by Cloudkicker. This definitely sets the record for longest song title on the blog. That's what's fun about naming instrumental tracks. They can be anything.
This is off of his album Subsume which came out in 2013.
