Today's Instrumental Metal Track is The Botanist by one of the pioneering bands of stoner metal, Sleep. This is the closing track off of their latest album, The Sciences, which was released back on 4/20 this year. I believe you can figure out what the song title is a reference to.
Exploring Heavy Metal and all its glory. Heavy Metal is often misunderstood and thought to be just a bunch of guys banging and screaming when in fact it can be extremely thoughtful, intelligent, and sincere. Expect some throw-down-head-banging, chill mood metal, and gloomy death metal that you're probably not going to hear on the radio. On the weekends we'll mix things up with a Weekend Wildcard and an Easy Like Sunday Morning Track to get you over your hangover!

Scott's Christmas Metal Track of the Day - You're A Mean One, Mr. Grinch by Small Town Titans
Today's Metal Track is an absolutely fantastic cover of You're a Mean One, Mr. Grinch by Small Town Titans. Many of you have probably already heard this as I have seen it floating around and a few of my friends already shared this. The instruments are great but the voice on this guy absolutely steals the show. Gives me goosebumps. I've never heard of these guys before this. I hope this is not a one time thing for them and hope that they go onto do great things.
Merry Christmas everyone. Don't be a Grinch!

Scott's Metal Track of the Day - Cuts Marked in the March of Men by Coheed and Cambria
Listen to the world out on the outside pressing in

You're the answer to their prayer

Easy Like Sunday Morning Track - Hold On To Love by Jason Becker
Today's Easy Like Sunday Morning Track is Hold On To Love by Jason Becker. Jason has ALS so even though he wrote the music and lyrics, he is unable to physically perform the song himself. Numerous musicians and singers pitched in to record the track. Too many to list but you can read about in in the YouTube description.
"This is my story, and in a way, everyone’s story. Life – we are all just trying to be happy. People are baffled that I can be happy after almost 30 years with ALS. Even I sometimes wonder how it is possible. This song is the simple answer. Most of this video takes place in my mind. I am talking to myself, looking for answers, thinking about the past and some of the people I love, and it all comes out in music." - Jason Becker

Scott's Metal Track of the Day - Charlie by Carach Angren (Adult Swim FishCenter)
Comedy and Metal, two of my favorite things.

This is off of Dutch band's 2017 album Dance and Laugh Amongst the Rotten. I had not heard of the FishCenter until I came across this video. Seems like it's been around for awhile but I don't Swim as hard as I did in my younger days.
Favorite YouTube comment: "Those fish. They have seen so many things"
