This Weekend's Wildcard is Love Will Tear Us Apart by Joy Division. This song was about Ian Curtis' marriage problems and was released posthumously in June 1980 following his suicide in May. Very sad.
Exploring Heavy Metal and all its glory. Heavy Metal is often misunderstood and thought to be just a bunch of guys banging and screaming when in fact it can be extremely thoughtful, intelligent, and sincere. Expect some throw-down-head-banging, chill mood metal, and gloomy death metal that you're probably not going to hear on the radio. On the weekends we'll mix things up with a Weekend Wildcard and an Easy Like Sunday Morning Track to get you over your hangover!

Scott's Metal Track of the Day - A Forest by Behemoth (The Cure Cover)
Today's Metal Track is a cover of The Cure's 1980 track A Forest by the Polish band Behemoth. That opening riff is just spectacular when it kicks in at the 1:06 mark. That's going to be stuck in my head for awhile. This features guest appearance from Swedish vocalist Niklas Kvarforth.
This just came out today and it looks like it is going to be part of an EP set to come out May 29th.
